Erick Maldonado was born in Lawrence, MA, recent graduate from the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth where he received his BFA in Painting and minor in Art History. Currently an artist in residence at Greater Merrimack Artist Residency in Methuen. His body of work ranges from painting, to sculpture, to photography. Erick has showcased and exhibited his own solo exhibition (I.D.) 2018, group (Seniors UMD) 2018, and has partook in numerous projects involving curation (A Visionary Campus: Paul Rudolph and UMass Dartmouth) 2018. Erick influences include architecture, hip hop, urban environments, and artists such as Kara Walker, Mark Bradford, Romare Bearden, Salvador Dali, and Frida Kahlo. Erick was recently exhibited at 3S Art Space Young Americans Exhibition (2018) and continues to work in Methuen at the Greater Merrimack Artist Residency.
